Yes, I recommend that you uninstall first and then re-install.

Did you uninstall the plugins before installing the new versions?

You need to enter in your serial numbers:

1. Click on the Global Settings icon (three slider bars). The Global Settings menu is displayed.
2. Click on the License Tab within the global settings. The License Tab menu is displayed with an input box for your serial number.
3. Enter your serial number (case sensitive) and then click Save Settings button at the bottom of the menu. A popup message will appear confirming your license registration and the Medeek Seal will be displayed.
4. Restart SketchUp for the license activation to fully take.

Medeek Wall Plugin / Re: Using 2D in Scenes

Using parallel projection and top down view, I turned off all the tags except "wall_symbol" and "wall_2d" and that gives a basic floor plan which it nice because you can create a scene for this and not use section cuts.

But there a few things that would need to change to look like a traditional floor plan, like the intersecting line where walls meet and the wall lines through the door opening. I turned on "remove wall lines" in the global settings that removed the intersecting lines where wall meets, but that leaves the 3D view of the walls without the lines it needs.

Is there any tweaks to using the plugin to easily get a traditional 2D floor plan? I have tried a variation of tag visibility, section cut and styles, but haven't gotten it to work yet.

Can you post a couple screen shots showing the issues, I will certainly give this some thought and see if I can come up with a solution.

Here is an issue with half walls that tee into other walls.  Notice how the gypsum is being cut:

Let's see if I can adjust the gypsum module to rectify this particular situation.

I've had some recent interest in a log siding/cladding similar to the shiplap cladding I enabled recently:

Thoughts?

Medeek Wall Plugin / Re: Partially see through walls
March 18, 2021, 07:05:31 PM
This seems to be an artifact with SketchUp.  However, a good rendering software should not allow the studs to show through one would think.

Version 1.6.8 - 03.14.2021
- Standardized the naming convention of the plugin toolbars.
#582
Version 0.8.0 - 03.14.2021
- Created the Medeek Engineering Plugin, utilizing SketchUp's Ruby API (BETA release).

I haven't paid much attention to this plugin for about 8 months as I have been so busy updating all of the other plugins (Wall, Truss, Foundation and Electrical).  When I get some more time I will get back to work on the matrix analysis engine that is required for the calculation module.  For now you should be able to add loads and supports to beams created with the beam module of the Medeek Wall plugin.

The plugin is very much in BETA right now, however I wanted to at least get it out so people can start playing with the load and support tools and give me any feedback they might have.

The BETA/Trial version of the plugin can be downloaded here:

http://design.medeek.com/resources/medeekengineeringplugin.pl

Note, that you cannot purchase this plugin yet.  I will not enable purchasing until I have completed the calculation module and brought it out of BETA status.

So far I have three people who are eligible for the drawing on the 24th, I'm not really seeing much interest so let's up the stakes a bit. If you post a project using any of the plugins within the next thirty days (Mar. 1 - Apr. 15) you are entitled to a one year upgrade on any and all licenses that you have purchased.

So the drawings are cancelled and I'm just going with "Post a Project, and Win a Prize".

Version 2.8.1 - 03.13.2021
- Standardized the naming convention of the plugin toolbars.

All of the Truss plugin toolbars will be prefixed with "Medeek", this will make it easier to find and sort through them, especially if you have a large number of extensions installed.

Version 1.9.8 - 03.13.2021
- Added an extra (Trim Top Plate) parameter to the "Start" and "End" configurations of rectangular walls.

**** CAUTION ****
This update adds two new parameters to the rectangular walls and will require the user to delete and recreate any rectangular wall presets.  This upgrade does not affect gable wall or any other presets (ie. windows, door, garage, gable wall, shed wall, hip wall).

This parameter (for the start and end of the wall) should normally be assigned to a value of "YES", this is also its default behavior.  However, in certain cases (such as a corner with a shed or gable wall) it may be useful to configure its value as "NO", as shown in the image above.
