- Added a "Draw Molding" tool to the updated Blocking/Molding toolbar.
- Added the ability to create base board, crown molding and chair rail with the "Molding" tool.
- Added additional parameters into the General tab of the Global Settings as related to moldings.
- Added an additional layer for moldings into the Layers tab of the Global Settings.





I will probably need to make a video on this new tool to help clarify its usage.

The user has the ability to add their own profiles for the various molding types, so this should make this tool fairly flexible.

Also note that the moldings are created independently of the wall panels so the tool can be used with any wall geometry, not just Medeek walls.

Version 2.0.1 - 03.27.2021
- Fixed a bug (introduced with Version 1.9.8 release) with wall presets for rectangular walls.

*** Critical Fix ***
I highly recommend updating to this latest release.  A small typo in the 1.9.8 release essentially rendered the wall presets unusable.  This fix rectifies that error and re-enables wall presets.

Checking the server logs and I just saw your three plugins register.

The mdkBIM suite is currently composed of three extensions:  Wall, Truss and Foundation. (The new Floor plugin is still in development)

Each extension/plugin has it's own unique serial number.  When you purchased the suite you received three separate emails from the billing system with a serial number for each plugin.

You can also quickly retrieve your serial numbers at anytime by logging into the Account Manager at this link:

To view your serial numbers click on the appropriate plugin icon and it will display the serial number for that plugin and details on the purchase(s).

I can give you all of your serial numbers but I will need to email those to you and not post them publicly here on the forum.

The serial number for the Wall plugin will not work for either the Truss or Foundation plugins.

If the serial number is properly registered then all parts of the plugins will work in their FULL mode.

Double check your license tab for each plugin, input your serials if required, remember each plugin has a unique serial number associated with it.

Then restart SketchUp and start with a new session.

If FULL is not displayed in the license tab then the plugin(s) will still be in TRIAL mode.  Make sure you are using the correct serial number for each plugin.

Yes, I recommend that you uninstall first and then re-install.

Did you uninstall the plugins before installing the new versions?

You need to enter in your serial numbers:

1. Click on the Global Settings icon (three slider bars). The Global Settings menu is displayed.
2. Click on the License Tab within the global settings. The License Tab menu is displayed with an input box for your serial number.
3. Enter your serial number (case sensitive) and then click Save Settings button at the bottom of the menu. A popup message will appear confirming your license registration and the Medeek Seal will be displayed.
4. Restart SketchUp for the license activation to fully take.

Using parallel projection and top down view, I turned off all the tags except "wall_symbol" and "wall_2d" and that gives a basic floor plan which it nice because you can create a scene for this and not use section cuts.

But there a few things that would need to change to look like a traditional floor plan, like the intersecting line where walls meet and the wall lines through the door opening. I turned on "remove wall lines" in the global settings that removed the intersecting lines where wall meets, but that leaves the 3D view of the walls without the lines it needs.

Is there any tweaks to using the plugin to easily get a traditional 2D floor plan? I have tried a variation of tag visibility, section cut and styles, but haven't gotten it to work yet.

Can you post a couple screen shots showing the issues, I will certainly give this some thought and see if I can come up with a solution.

Here is an issue with half walls that tee into other walls.  Notice how the gypsum is being cut:



Let's see if I can adjust the gypsum module to rectify this particular situation.
